Moon Haus blends modern desert design with genuinely livable space — six bedrooms (three with their own smart TVs, including the primary) all outfitted with brand-new memory foam mattresses, so a big group doesn't mean compromise. The living room centers on an oversized sectional, a 65" smart TV, and an electric fireplace for when the desert nights cool off fast. The kitchen island is built for the kind of group cooking that turns into the best part of the trip — morning coffee, taco night, all of it.
The backyard is really the main event: a private pool and jacuzzi, a full mini golf course, bocce ball, and a fire pit that turns into the natural gathering point once the sun goes down. Early risers have their own spot too — a quiet meditation deck for stretching, coffee, or just watching the desert wake up before everyone else does.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW
CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT — Check-in is 4:00 PM, check-out is 11:00 AM. You'll receive your smart lock code via automated message 3 days before arrival for your records — the code activates at check-in time and remains active for the duration of your stay. Late check-out beyond 20 minutes is subject to a $200 fee; beyond one hour, a half-day rate applies.
EARLY CHECK-IN / LATE CHECK-OUT - Stay a little longer and add up to 2 hours before or after your arrival for $75/hour subject to cleaning schedule — message us to check availability.
PARKING —4 car maximum. No street parking is allowed. To avoid ticketing or towing, please ensure all vehicles remain fully within the driveway/designated parking area.
DELIVERIES — We are unable to accept packages at the home. Please plan accordingly and use a local post office hold or nearby package locker service.
PHOTO/VIDEO & COMMERCIAL USE — Guests are welcome to take photos for personal use — feel free to tag us @visithideaway. Commercial, professional, or revenue-generating photography/videography requires prior written approval and is subject to production fees. Drones are not permitted. Any commercial shoot conducted without prior approval will result in reservation cancellation and applicable fees.
POOL & SPA — Spa heat is included in your reservation . For best results, pool heat requests should be made 48 hours in advance. ($180/day May–Sept, $250/day Oct–April) Please shower before use. No soap or liquids in the jacuzzi. Pool service occurs Mondays and Thursdays, 8am–12pm. Guests are responsible for their own safety; anyone under 18 must be supervised while swimming.
PETS — Pets are welcome with prior disclosure, $100/pet (max 2). Pets are not permitted in the pool and must be supervised in the yard due to desert wildlife and cactus. Please dispose of any pet waste.
MAX GUESTS / EXTRA GUESTS — This home is designed for 12 guests maximum. Please disclose any visitors or overnight guests in advance; a $50/person fee applies for undisclosed overnight guests.
NO PARTIES OR EVENTS — Moon Haus is a private residence and does not permit parties or events.
SMOKING — Not permitted inside or within 15 feet of the property. A $300 cleaning fee applies if violated.
PLUMBING — All Joshua Tree homes run on septic systems; only toilet paper may be flushed. Misuse resulting in clogs incurs a $250 repair fee.
SECURITY — Exterior security cameras are present at the front and back entrances for safety purposes only.
WILDLIFE — We're in the high desert — occasional sightings of insects, mice, and the rare snake or spider are part of the territory. Let us know if you'd like help safely relocating anything.

We had a bigger group w 4 children on this trip. The kids had a great time in the back yard with the small pool+jaccuzi and other games in the backyard. They looked forward to coming back to this Airbnb everyday after our outings and hikes. Inside was very clean, spacious, and nicely decorated in a more modern style. There was plenty of chairs around the big dining table and in the backyard which we appreciated so everyone can sit and have a meal together.
